A short-stick defensive midfielder for Mount Si High School varsity and ADVNC Seattle Starz 2029 AA, and a 2026 Washington State 4A champion with Mount Si. John's game is the work that wins possessions: on-ball defense, ground balls, clears, and transition.
Film Personal Statement
John's first highlight reel is below: one minute of his defensive work for ADVNC Seattle Starz and Mount Si. His tournament games are filmed by NextPro on the Starz circuit, and a longer cut built from that film arrives after Autumn Gold in November.

My name is John Larson, and I am a short-stick defensive midfielder and midfielder in the class of 2029 at Mount Si High School in Snoqualmie, Washington. I also play club lacrosse with ADVNC Seattle Starz 2029 AA, where I wear number 1. In the spring of 2026, our Mount Si team won the Washington State 4A championship.
I play the defensive side of the midfield, and I love that side of the game. My job is to win the matchup in front of me, fight for ground balls, clear the ball under pressure, and turn defense into transition. It is not always the loudest work on the field, but it is the work that decides possessions, and I take pride in doing it every shift.
My goal is to play lacrosse in college. I am looking for a program where I can earn my minutes with effort and reliability, keep developing as a two-way midfielder, and be part of a team culture that values the unglamorous work as much as the highlights. In the classroom and on the field, I hold myself to the same standard: show up prepared, compete hard, and make the people around me better.
Thank you for visiting my page. I would love the opportunity to talk about how I can contribute to your program.
Off the field, John is an Xbox player who treats game film and game controllers with roughly the same seriousness: study the matchup, adjust, compete.
John is a twin. His sister Freya, also class of 2029, plays varsity lacrosse at Mount Si and for Vand'al Elite, so lacrosse season in the Larson house runs in both directions at once.
